The minister's briefing book is a binder filled with potential hot issues put together by ministry departments and communications staff. The managers and directors of each branch draw up the briefing note, which is signed off by an executive director, assistant deputy minister, and finally, the deputy minister. The deputy minister and communications staff review the hot issues with the minister and her executive assistant.
